Monday Prayer Meeting began unceremoniously and insignificantly within the large premises of Holy White Flame Church in the Ikotun area of Lagos State – starting with Rev. Awusi, together with two other seminary classmates and minister friends of his, namely, Rev. Godfrey I. Chibiuwa and Rev. Dr. Philip O’ Daniels. In time, by God’s miraculous working and by God’s particular use of Rev. Godfrey I. Chibiuwa and one Sister Nancy Amidu [Nee Udoye] now Evangelist as instruments, Monday Prayer Meeting grew in popularity and in attendance, attracting people from far and near.

This prayer meeting held in this place till Rev. Awusi, at the instance of our Lord, left the Church on March 4, 2003. It was therefore, moved to his house at No. 1, Adebisi Nanaga Street, by Ayeni Street,  off Governor’s Road, Ikotun, Lagos State and was continued there until later when Rev. Awusi was directed by God to approach one Chief Uzoh in Ago, Okota, Lagos for a better and larger place of prayer.

Miraculously, Chief Uzoh, besides previously giving him some financial assistance, freely offered him a factory building of his located along the passageway between Sijuola Street and Funsho Kinoshi Street, Ago, Okota, Lagos State. It was toward the end of November, 2003, that this offer was made to Rev Awusi by Chief Uzoh. However, the first Sunday service was held in this place on January 4, 2004, with only three persons in attendance, namely, Rev. Awusi himself and one Sister Evelyn Chukwuekezie and one lady named Shino, but Monday Prayer Meeting resumed here later in the same month of January, 2004.
